Resolved: Hazleton, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and Schulykill Campuses on Redundant Connections due to Link Failure

Last updated on October 24, 2009 at 8:07PM

Update on October 24, 2009 at 8:07PM

Level3 confirmed the fiber cut in Allentown has been corrected, and connectivity to these campuses has been restored as of 7:50pm.

Update on October 24, 2009 at 4:29PM

Level3 has confirmed a fiber cut in the Allentown area that is affecting the 100MB link from University Park to Hazleton (I previously misstated the link as 200MB). They have techs in the area and are currently surveying the fiber cut. We will continue to update the user community as information is relayed to Penn State.

Original Alert

The Hazleton, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and Schulykill Campuses are currently operating on their redundant backup connections due to a link failure on the 200MB connection between University Park and Hazleton. TNS is working to resolve the issue.
