Starting around 5:30 PM today, some users may have seen errors logging into email.psu.edu if they use the IMAP protocol. This was caused by some monitoring software that filled a filesystem used for authentication. This did not affect any existing connections, only new ones. Also, no e-mail lost because of this problem. As of 8:00 PM, the file system was fixed and things were working properly for all users.
