ITS staff has determined that the issue is the result of a facility malfunction, requiring a number of systems to be powered down. Since that time, all affected services have been restored to full functionality.
As a result of the data center issues, some PASS gateways (win.pass.psu.edu, NFS, and CIFS) are unavailable. In addition, certain PASS file systems are currently inaccessible.
Websites hosted out of PASS may be affected, for example sites on personal.psu.edu
Kerberos and the ACCESS.PSU.EDU Domain have also been affected by the outage.
Due to unforeseen issues and outages several Penn State-related services are currently unavailable. Degraded services include, but are not limited to:
Windows Software Update Service (WSUS)
ITS staff is working to resolve service issues. More information will be released as it becomes available.
Users should expect delays when utilizing a Penn State-offered service until the issue has been resolved.
