All internal testing is successfully completed. UCS is back up and running at this time.

The update is proceeding as planned, just slower than we anticipated. The time consuming part is now complete, we are finalizing the configuration and will be testing soon. Thank you for your patience.

The upgrade to Zimbra version 8 is taking longer than anticipated. The upgrade is proceeding, and we are not seeing any issues. We will update this alert as the upgrade proceeds.

The software upgrade for UCS will take place on Monday, September 2, 2013, during an extended maintenance window (4:30-7:30 a.m.). As mentioned in the original alert, members of the University community utilizing UCS will not be able to send or receive e-mail or calendar appointments during the software upgrade. No messages will be lost during the upgrade. When complete, all queued messages will be processed.

New Features in this update include:
-Sent messages can be sorted by the To: field
-Enhanced search capabilities
-Read More button scrolls through selected e-mail then moves to the next unread message.

The upgrade to the Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) version 8.0.4 is being postponed at this time. There is an issue with the disk subsystems that provides disk space for UCS. In the unlikely event that complications occur during the upgrade, there is concern about reverting back to the current version of UCS. Though the probability of any issues arising during the upgrade is low, the potential for loss is extremely high, making the risk unacceptable. When the disk subsystems issue has been solved, we will reschedule the upgrade.

On Saturday, July 20, 2013, during an extended maintenance window (4:30-7:30 a.m.), Information Technology Services (ITS) will upgrade the software supporting the University Collaboration Suite (UCS) to Zimbra Collaboration Suite version 8.0.4.

New Features in this update include:
-Sent messages can be sorted by the To: field
-Enhanced search capabilities
