The upgrade was complete and service was restored by 7:04 a.m.

The LDAP service on was restored by 11:23 a.m. using a copy from this morning\'s data.

ITS staff estimate that the LDAP service on will be restored from this morning\'s maintenance by approximately 11:30 a.m.

Work was performed on the master LDAP server and completed successfully between 6:00 a.m. and 6:03 a.m. Work on the replica server has ran into additional difficulty and will not complete prior to 7:00 a.m. At this time, all service functionality except for clients who contact the LDAP replica server directly are operational.

Original Alert

Emergency maintenance required for the FPS LDAP system is scheduled for tomorrow and Wednesday, July 30-31, respectively. Upgrades being performed will take place during each day's maintenance window, from 5-7 a.m.

In the first period of maintenance, the FPS LDAP service will be sporadically disrupted to accommodate work being performed. On Wednesday, the service will be unavailable for a majority of the maintenance window.

Creation of new accounts and changes to personal data will not be accepted during the work periods.

User data will still be available for viewing through the FPS web interface. Authentication for services will also not be affected while work is being performed.

Software patches and additional upgrades are being installed to help limit the frequency of outages and alleviate other issues seen with the LDAP service. Once completed, users may experience fewer disruptions when utilizing the service.
