Resolved: Power Outage Will Affect Services and Servers May 24-25

Last updated on May 25, 2014 at 8:30PM

Update on May 25, 2014 at 8:30PM

Rewiring of the power switch in the Shields Building was successfully completed. As of 8:25pm tonight, Kerberos, Active Directory, WebAccess, and ldap.offsite are all running as expected.

Update on May 14, 2014 at 2:12PM

For clarification in regard to the Shields Building outage, all services will be available with the exception of specific TSM backups. Users to be impacted by the lack of service have been notified.

Further, Kerberos and Active Directory will be slightly degraded during the outage as well. As a result, users may experience a brief pause in reaction time for either service.

For WebAccess, it is not anticipated that the service will be degraded. However, if a degradation does occur, users will notice a slightly longer response time.

ldap.offsite will be down during the maintenance.  It is the only server that will be affected through the LDAP service.

The outage will begin Saturday, May 24th at 6:00 p.m. continuing through Sunday, May 25th until 11:00 p.m.
