As of 22:15 on June 5th, all issues with the hardware supporting backup.aset.psu.edu have been resolved.
The hardware supporting backup.aset.psu.edu suffered a failure at 16:55, preventing backup or restoration procedures from occurring, and failing currently running backups/restores. No previously backed up data has been lost, nor is there any risk of loss. ITS staff are currently working with vendor support services to address the issue, and replace the faulty hardware.
All TSM backup services not dependent on backup.aset.psu.edu are unaffected.
