Resolved: ANGEL Switched to Kerberos Authentication

Last updated on November 17, 2015 at 2:05PM

Beginning at 12:45 PM, WebAccess entered a degraded state. ITS is investigating the issue (http://alerts.its.psu.edu/alert-3826). This degradation impacts any web services that use WebAccess to authenticate. ANGEL has switched to Kerberos authentication to allow continued access. As a result, the login page will look different from the usual WebAccess page.

While users will still login using their Penn State user ID and password, the authentication will not be through WebAccess. Users should note that switching ANGEL away from WebAccess means that ANGEL will not be part of the single sign-on services during this time. As a result, users will be prompted to login again when moving between ANGEL and to/from other online Penn State services.
