Teams from Penn State IT have continued to monitor the known impacted systems and have found no further degradations in performance. All systems are functional at this time.

Penn State IT appears to have resolved the issues with the following services:

Undergraduate Admissions (MyPennState)
IBIS
CIDR - Social Security Number related functions
W4 Updates

Testing will continue until it\'s been confirmed that full service has been restored.

Penn State IT continues to identify impacted areas and systems.

Issues may appear in the following services:

Undergraduate Admissions (MyPennState)

CIDR - Social Security Number related functions
W4 Updates

Issues may be present in other services, the full impact of these issues are unknown at this time. Penn State IT will continue to monitor these issues and will update this alert as more information becomes available.

The issues with with Generalized Interface and CIDR have stabilized as of 7:50pm Eastern Time. The Office of the Vice President for Information Technology will continue to monitor these systems and will be conducting an in-depth investigation to determine the root cause.

Multiple groups from the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology are actively working to remedy this issue. Further information will be posted as it becomes available.

Original Alert

The IT Service Desk has been made aware of an issue that is currently impacting CIDR and the Generalized Interface (GI). Applications that rely on these systems will be impacted. Updates will be posted to this alert as they are made available.
