Throughout the course of this evening, Penn State IT staff worked to isolate the cause of the service outages. By 7:10 PM, staff performed actions that began restoring a number of services to the University. By 7:30 PM, email and batch processing were operational. We continue to monitor and investigate infrastructure to ensure all services are restored.
Control-M is also down; this impacts some LionPath, Student Aid, and Alumni Development batch processsing.
The services known to be affected are: CIDR, UCS, Data Warehouse, Alumni AWA, Alumni ABI, CA7 Agent
Penn State IT staff continue investigation. At this time, we are aware that the UCS web client may be slow or unresponsive. Additional information, including known impact, will be communicated when it is available.
EI&O is currently experiencing a widespread outage of our VMWare infrastucture. Many production services are affected. We will update this ticket as we learn more.
