Century Link has completed work on the cabling for Penn State. Internet services have returned to full functionality.

Century Link continues repair work on the damaged network cabling. There is currently no estimated time of resolution.

Century Link, the vendor, is currently working to replace damaged cabling that is causing this outage of their services. There is currently no estimated time of resolution.

Original Alert

As of 5:53p.m. ET on Monday, June 4, 2018, one of the two primary internet connections for the University is unavailable. Services affected include BigTen Network ALS and Internet2 IPv6. Commodity internet remains available via alternate providers.

The internet provider is actively working on the issue, and more information will be shared on the IT Alerts page as it becomes available.
