Teams from Penn State IT revised Webaccess authentication services. Users should notice an improvement when attempting to authenticate to Penn State applications.

IT SERVICE(S) IMPACTED:
Webaccess authentication services impact logging in to Office 365, UCS, LionPath, Workday, Box, and other University applications

DATE AND TIME:
Issue began at 9am ET on 08/20/18

NOTES:
Canvas is using alternate authentication.
Users may receive errors when trying to authenticate, which include: "Web Login Service - Stale Request" or "HTTP Status 500 - Error processing external authentication request"

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
This alert will be updated as new information becomes available. Penn State IT users can view additional details in ServiceNow.
Shibboleth is currently impacted. Cosign is not experiencing problems.
