This issue has been resolved.

PEOPLE AND LOCATIONS IMPACTED:
All students, faculty, staff at all Penn State locations

IT SERVICE(S) IMPACTED:
Check Point firewall server rule changes will be unavailable.

DATE AND TIME:
Check Point firewall server rule changes will be affected from 5:00 PM ET on 09/14/2018 until 8:00 PM ET on 09/16/2018.

NOTES:
All Check Point firewalls will continue to function during this time. There will be no network outages.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Penn State IT needs to rebuild the server due to a faulty CPU fan, causing Check Point firewall server rule changes to be unavailable.

This alert will be updated as new information becomes available. Penn State IT users can view additional details in ServiceNow.
