Resolved: ANGEL available

Last updated on December 18, 2007 at 3:34PM

Update on December 19, 2007 at 11:03AM

ANGEL has experienced problems during the afternoon hours this week because of exceptionally heavy loads on the system. For those who have the option to choose the time to begin to take an exam or access materials on ANGEL, ITS highly recommends that you avoid the 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. period. ITS has formed a team to develop a solution for addressing this problem in both the short and long term.

Update on December 18, 2007 at 9:34PM

Currently, ANGEL is no longer experiencing degraded performance. Information Technology Services (ITS) continues to monitor ANGEL. More information will be provided as it becomes available. We appreciate your continued patience.

Update on December 18, 2007 at 8:36PM

ANGEL is again available. ITS will temporarily limit the number of connections allowed to ANGEL to keep load at a sustainable level. We will increase the number of connections as stability is achieved and maintained. While connections are limited, some users may experience sporadic slowness in logging in, page loads, and image/media presentation. ITS will continue to monitor the system and will advise accordingly.

ANGEL will be temporarily unavailable to allow ITS staff to perform troubleshooting of ANGEL service issues. We expect ANGEL to be unavailable until at least 8:15 p.m. During this time, you will see a page stating "ANGEL is experiencing technical difficulties" when attempting to connect to ANGEL.

We will update this alert when we have more information.
