Last updated on July 31, 2008 at 9:24AM

Update on July 30, 2008 at 3:15PM

The update to Adobe Connect V.7 has been completed. The Getting Started documentation has been updated from V.6.2 to V.7. Work is continuing on the other sections of documentation and is tentatively scheduled to be completed by Friday, 8/1. Visit http://meeting.psu.edu/ for more information. Any problems can be reported to breeze@psu.edu.

Original Alert

The Adobe Connect server will be unavailable from 5:00 a.m. to midnight EDT on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, as Connect is upgraded to the newest release, Version 7.

The new release will have some interface changes and provide some new features. One new feature will allow faculty to edit and download their meeting recordings. Most other meeting functionality will remain the same. For more information on the changes, please see the "What's New" posting on the Connect community site at http://meeting.psu.edu/node/430.

All existing meetings will continue to work under the new version. All permissions will also be retained, so any faculty or staff now able to create meetings will be able to do so under the new release.

As soon as the new software is in place, Information Technology Services will send out an alert to the Adobe Connect community site announcing the upgrade completion. For more information, contact breeze@psu.edu.

For more information, please contact John Spotts (jds100@psu.edu).
