The Oracle Calendaring Service has been fully restored and is now available for use.
The hardware repairs for the Oracle Calendar Service have been completed. ITS has verified that the calendar database was corrupted during the abrupt halt of the server. We will be restoring from the backup taken at 12:19 a.m. this morning. Unfortunately, alterations that were made to calendars between then and the failure time are not recoverable. However, it should be noted that user data for the calendar server used by University Libraries and Digital Library Technologies (DLT), of ITS, was not affected.
It is expected that full service will be restored within two to three hours. Thank you again for your patience, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you/your staff.
The Oracle Calendaring Service is currently experiencing a hardware failure. This means that the calendar server cannot be accessed at all via the native client or Web client (www.cal.psu.edu). ITS staff are actively working on resolving the issue, and hope to provide more details once available. Thank you for your patience during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you/your staff.
